Shiping was amazing fast , two days from order to delivery.
The pistol is of high quality with little plastic other than the hand grips on it. I was hopping that it would feel larger in the hand than it does. I am not so sure about it as a prop as it would look small in an adult male’s hand. It looks very nice and realistic other than the size.

What a great toy! The Big Tex is a solidly made cap pistol which has some heft to it, unlike the plastic ones which break rather quickly. I had been looking for a cap pistol that was more like the ones we had in the 50’s, but they sadly are not available anymore. But Big Tex is the ticket now.

Based on all the reviews, I went ahead and ordered 2 of these Big Tex Pistols sold by Parris Toys for my 5-year old son and myself. My son loves them and we have a fun time playing cowboys with them. They are some of the best quality toys I have seen in a long time and Made in Italy.

I purchased this gun for my husband’s Sheriff Halloween costume after reading really good reviews on it. It is heavy and solid–the wooden handle looks like real wood, and the metal and metal detailing is of impressive quality (for a toy). Then I got my piece of plastic junk gun in the mail for my costume–it was the matching Leg Avenue accessory pack for my Sheriff costume. It is truly pathetic! So I ordered another Big Tex Pistol and I am very happy about the guns and to not be “outdone” by my husband. LOL

I just received this cap gun for my grand daughter and I couldn’t believe how nice it was for the money. I’m in the tool and die business and the craftmanship of this die cast part is very nice and was totally unexpected for this price range. BTW, it does come with an orange plastic tip so that anyone could see that it’s a cap gun but without it I would be afraid to send my grand daughter outside with it!
